The Regina-based artist Dennis J. Evans is a bit of a magpie in that he gathers things that catch his eye and puts them together in seemingly random ways. Ah, but there is a logic to the 17 montages included in this show. Evans is guided by a dash of the Sufi poet Rumi, a dab of Nietzsche, a soupçon of John Barth and a pinch of Wim Wenders. As a viewer, it’s best to go with your gut because, ultimately, the work is “an invitation to share personal experiences, memories and stories.” —Bruce Weir
