Michael Bublé at Scotiabank Saddledome (Monday, June 23 and Tuesday, June 24)
There are still tickets available on Ticketmaster to see the talented charmer and his a cappella crew the Naturally 7. You can get in the building for $62.75.
Cher and Cyndi Lauper at Scotiabank Saddledome (Wednesday, June 25)
I know Cher’s the headliner, but I’d really be more excited to see ’80s pop icon Cyndi Lauper. As was the style at the time, every one of her videos was ridiculous. There aren’t many tickets left at Ticketmaster.
Noir at Habitat Living Sound (Thursday, June 26)
New Calgary crew MannMade Rhodes headline a fun Thursday night of house music, which also features live congas and saxophone by CK Sax.
Red Carpet Comedy at Lolita’s Lounge, 1413 9th Ave. S.E. (Wednesday, June 25)
Video contains some NSFW language.
Some of Calgary’s best standups—Ben Cannon, Kyle Francis, Jeff Toth, Donovan Deschner Ian Wallace, Todd Ness and Doug Mutai—try out new material at the final Red Carpet Comedy before summer vacation. Deschner recently announced that the show will end his 260-minute project, during which he tried to come up with five minutes of new material every week for a year. Tickets are $10 and you can grab them online.
Avenue Q at Stage West (Opening Thursday, June 26)
As this video featuring the original Broadway cast shows, the puppets of Avenue Q aren’t for kids. The show is an adult-themed, Sesame Street-esque musical romp. Your ticket ($95 on Thursday) includes trips to the famous Stage West buffet. —Jon Roe
