Thursday is budget day in the legislature. We don’t need to tell you that the province’s financial situation is less than rosy, but we would like to stress that MOCA Calgary’s opening of Made in Alberta (Part 3)—also Thursday—might be your last chance to enjoy a freebie for a while.
Admission is free, the live music is gratis, the food tasting is complimentary, the bar is a cash bar. (Get used to it, Alberta.)
And of course the art is worth the trip alone. The third part of the four-part exhibition continues the survey of Alberta artists and includes work by, among others, Dianne Bos, Chris Cran and Eric Cameron.
Made in Alberta III runs until Thursday, March 28 at MOCA, which is in the Municipal Building (104, 800 Macleod Tr. S.E.)
If you hurry, you can still catch Made in Alberta II, which is at Paul Kuhn Gallery until Saturday, March 9.
