1. Michelle Grégoire Quartet at Wine-Ohs (Monday, Feb. 25)
The U of C’s Monday night jazz series splits its time between the University Theatre on campus and the more intimate space of Wine-Ohs downtown, where new owners have renovated since they took over Beat Niq last year. 2. Reel Fun Film Festival (Opening Monday, Feb. 25)
The Reel Fun Film Festival’s mandate is to expose youth and children to the world of films and filmmaking. There’s a wide variety of films, including the BBC nature documentary One Life. The BBC’s reputation for making fantastic nature documentaries is well deserved. One Life, released in 2011, follows in their footsteps of the fantastic TV series Planet Earth and Human Planet. 3. Garden Variety Show at Loose Moose Theatre (Thursday, Feb. 28)

4. Ocean at The Plaza Theatre (Thursday, Feb. 28)
Calgary Cinematheque presents Ocean, a film capturing a performance of choreographer Merce Cunningham’s piece of the same name performed at a quarry in Minnesota. Bruce Weir has you covered with all the facts you’ll need for Thursday’s screening.
5. Tegan and Sara at MacEwan Hall, U of C (Thursday, Feb. 28 and Friday, March 1)
The sister duo double up on dates at Mac Hall. Friday’s show is sold out, but there are still tickets available to Thursday’s. —Jon Roe
