It doesn’t get much more arthouse than this: Isabelle Huppert stars in a trio of stories in the latest from Korean director Hong Sang-Soo. In Another Country Huppert plays Anne, a Frenchwoman in South Korea. But each of her Annes is different, although the character interacts with the same people in a small coastal town. And it’s all the creation of a film-student Wonju (played by Jun Yumi) who is in said small town with her mother. But, hey, Hong was up for the Palme d’Or for the film (Amour took the title), so there’s something there.

Presented by Calgary Cinematheque, the film screens Thursday, Jan. 24 at the Plaza Theatre at 7 p.m. Tickets are $8 for members; $10 students and seniors; and $12 general admission.
