Boxers or briefs? Everyone can find out at naked espy, taking place this Saturday. The first 100 men that line up in their undies by 3 p.m. receive $500 in clothing in exchange for a donation (minimum $100) to the Calgary Prostate Cancer Center. It’s all going down at espy experience boutique in Inglewood.
The third annual event is a fundraiser for the Calgary Prostate Cancer Center. Last year, the event raised more than $9,200, but organizers are hoping to top $20,000 this time out. While they’re waiting, those in line will enjoy tasty treats (including core-warming coffee) and snacks, a mini-workout and some potent potables. (Participants should dress for the weather; they only have to strip down at 3 p.m.)
When espy’s doors open at 4:30 p.m., the first 100 men in line and their guests (two each) will attend a party in the boutique. The skivvie-clad lads will then be clothed and styled. An after-party will feature food, drink, live music and a burlesque dance performance.
And the Prostate Cancer Center’s Man Van will be parked out front at the event, so interested males over the age of 40 can have an on-the-spot PSA blood test. The forecast says sunny and 3C, so don’t forget the sunblock!
